Lady of the house has MS and cannot tolerate heat, which is a big issue in Houston and the driver for the installation of a generator. I comparison shopped and found that (1) Jim was far and away the most impressive "salesman" I met, because he's mostly an electrician, not a salesman, and (2) he beat the competition on price - not a lot, I admit, but for this kind of job, a dollar is a dollar.
After I ordered the installation, it was completed in a flawlessly professional way - underground lines located and equipment installed in less than 3 days after I committed, without disruptions except as necessary for the installation itself. The gas meter upgrade was completed two days later with no problems. Mike then came out to start the generator and brief me on its operation, and it's out there now, standing by and protecting my home and family. The peace of mind it provides is huge! Hurricane, ice storm (if I should live so long in Katy), or simple power outage, we're covered!
If more than 5 stars were available, I'd give them to Generator Power Systems. If you're in the Houston, Texas area and you're thinking about a generator, you're making a mistake if you don't at least talk to these folks. You might find a slicker pitch, but you won't find better job.
